Beware invoices you might get in your email from “Geek Squad.’’ They are probably yet another criminal con.

 

I found this warning from the Federal Trade Commission:

 

·       The Bait: You get an email or text with a fake invoice claiming a $200 to $500 auto-renewal charge for "Total Tech Support" or "Secure Guard".

·       The Urgency: It claims your account will be billed unless you call a phone number within 24 to 48 hours.

·       The Trap: If you call, the fake support agent offers a refund, asks for remote access to your computer, and manipulates your bank screen to steal your money.
