‘Transnationalism in American art’

“Deer Woman’s New Medicine” (textiles, wood, cowhide and paint), by Natalie Ball, in the group show “Encounters With the Collection: Reframing America at 250,’’ at the William Benton Museum of Art. at the University of Connecticut’s main campus, at Storrs, Sept. 1, 2026-Sept. 1, 2026.

The museum says:

“Inspired by visitor feedback from our previous exhibition ‘Exploring America at 250,’ this show looks at transnationalism in American art from the 18th Century to the present. By showing case studies from the Benton's own collection alongside key loans from Art Bridges, the exhibition explores migration, cultural exchange, expatriate experience, and Indigenous sovereignty.’’
